2025 Championship
TWO JUGGERNAUTS SQUARE OFF IN FLEX BOWL XV!!!
New ownership? New name? No problem. The dominance of Arizona Rainmakers has been quite recent with the franchise going for the repeat in the Flex Bowl Championship but this year with a new name! Last year they defeated the then defending Champion South Amboy River Rats and dethroning a dynasty in doing so given that South Amboy River Rats was going for their 4th Championship in 5 years but was denied with the Garden State Green victory! Last year they won it as the #3 seed but this year they really cranked up the heat finishing the season with an 11-3 record and claiming the #1 seed. The only other Championship appearance was in 2020 under the old ownership and losing as the #5 seed to the #6 seed South Amboy River Rats!
For Ewing Titan Thunder, it has been an absolute storied history in Flex Bowl Championships! The franchise is making it's 6th trip to the Flex Bowl Championship winning 3 Flex Bowls of the previous 5 appearances. Their 1st trip was in Flex Bowl II when they entered the game as the #3 seed defeating the #4 seed Sinister Forces! Just two years later they made their 2nd trip to the big game in Flex Bowl IV as the #3 seed again, but came up short against the #4 seed Maryland Marauders! It didn't take too long for them to find themselves in the Championship again in Flex Bowl VII as the #5 seed and upsetting the #1 seed Motor City Muff Munchers in that game. The next year it was right back to the Championship as the #4 seed in Flex Bowl VIII in a rematch with the now #2 seed Motor City Muff Munchers, but lost the rematch that year! After a 4 year break from the Flex Bowl Championship game, Ewing Titan Thunder found themselves back again as the #2 seed and the favorite against the #5 seed Scarlet Swarm and secured their 3rd Flex Bowl Championship! This year they go for Flex Bowl Championship #4 as the #2 seed in this years #1 and #2 seed Championship!
Head-to-head Ewing Titan Thunder has the advantage with a 10-5 winning record over the Rainmakers franchise. Their only meeting in the playoffs previous to this Championship was a victory by Ewing Titan Thunder vs the old owner way back in 2014 in the divisional round of the playoffs!
2024 Championship
2ND TIME AROUND 4 YEARS LATER!!!
The story of Flex Bowl XIV is another rematch for South Amboy River Rats. Flex Bowl XIV is a rematch of the 2020 Championship game, Flex Bowl X which was the first of the current dynasty of South Amboy River Rats who have won 3 of the last 4 Flex Bowl Championships and has 4 Flex Bowl Championships overall. This year they're going for Championship #5 and 4 of the last 5 years.
For Garden State Green it is only the 2nd ever Flex Bowl Championship appearance with both of them being against South Amboy River Rats. The major difference with this year's team is that it is with a new owner so although the franchise is looking for it's 2nd championship, it will be the first for the new team owner! GSG got to the championship by defeating Scarlet Swarm, a team who had been in the last 3 championship games and was looking for a 4th appearance and at a 3rd straight final between themselves and South Amboy River Rats. But they came up shorty against GSG and now we look at the 2020 rematch instead!
Head to head lifetime, Garden State Green has an edge over South Amboy River Rats with a record of 7-4-1against them. However, South Amboy River Rats has a 1-0 record vs GSG in the playoffs with that win coming in that 2020 final. Rats has also won the last two meetings between these teams with the first of those 2 victories coming in 2022! So South Amboy River Rats has had GSG's number of late.
Will South Amboy River Rats keep this dynasty going? Not if Garden State Green has anything to say about it!
2023 Championship
A RIVALRY AND BATTLE FOR A DYNASTY!!!
The story of Flex Bowl XIII has many different layers to it!! First and foremost, this is an amazing 3rd straight Flex Bowl appearance for Scarlet Swarm, but unfortunately with no victories in the previous two championship appearances.
Scarlet Swarm's first appearance and Flex Bowl loss was to the same opponent in this matchup, South Amboy River Rats in 2021. So this is a Flex Bowl XI rematch. These two teams have developed quite a rivalry having met at some point in the playoffs in the last 3 seasons, making this the 4th matchup in as many seasons with this Championship matchup!
South Amboy River Rats has the 2-1 edge in these previous matchups winning the Flex Bowl XI matchup along with a 2020 Wild Card Round matchup in which they went on to win Flex Bowl X that season!
Swarm's victory between the two, came last season when these teams met in the Divisional Round to get to the Flex Bowl XII Championship, but they subsequently lost in that game to Ewing Titan Thunder. So although they have multiple championship appearances, Swarm is still looking for their first Flex Bowl title.
If the River Rats can pull off the victory, it will be their 4th Flex Bowl Championship and 3rd title in 4 years, pretty much solidifying a dynasty in Flex Bowl history!!
So the stakes are pretty high in this one! Either one team gets over the hump and wins their 1st title, or the other team launches themselves in the midst of a dynasty!!

2022 Championship
After defeating the opponent that beat them last year in the Flex Bowl, Scarlet Swarm is back for a 2nd consecutive shot at their 1st Flex Bowl title this year. This year they got in as a Wild Card!!
Ewing Titan Thunder is back in the Championship as well but this is their 1st time back since their 2018 Flex Bowl loss. Ewing Titan Thunder is going for their 3rd Flex Bowl Championship in their 5th appearance in this game.
In regular season history between these two teams, Titan Thunder has the slight edge at 5-3 with them also winning the last 3 meetings between them, a streak that started with a victory in 2019. This is the 1st time ever these two teams have met in the playoffs!!
2021 Championship
The 2021 version of the Flex Bowl or Flex Bowl XI will give the #2 seed and Championship Division Champs, South Amboy River Rats a chance to defend their crown from last season's Flex Bowl X victory. However, the #4 seed and Middle Divison Champion Scarlet Swarm made sure last week that it wasn't a rematch by defeating the #1 seed and last year's Flex Bowl runner up in the Divisional Round or the semis, Garden State Green.
2 Divison Champions square off for the Flex Bowl Title!!!
This is South Amboy River Rat's 2nd consecutive season in the Flex Bowl, and 3rd overall Flex Bowl appearance. The Rats have won their 2 previous appearances in the Championship and is attempting to keep it a perfect Championship win record. They're also going for the repeat. The 3rd Championship was the very 1st Championship in the very 1st year of the league.
This is Scarlet Swarm's 1st Flex Bowl appearance and had never advanced past the Divisional Round or the semis until this season. Both team owners are the original owners since the league began in 2011.
These two teams met in the playoffs only once before in last year's Wild Card Round. South Amboy River Rats was the #6 Seed Wild Card, and went on to win the Flex Bowl Championship. Scarlet Swarm was the Deuce Division Champion and the #3 seed in the Championship tournament. They did not meet in the regular season in 2021 but in the lifetime head-to-head matchup between the two teams, Scarlet Swarm has the advantage with a record of 4-2, 0-1, 4-3. With all the Wu Flu bs and the Championship now being over the last 2 regular season games, this is going to be a very intersting championship. Definitely, a milestone with the new Championship structure. It's going to be a fun 2 weeks. Good luck fellas.

Flex Bowl 2020 is set pitting the #6 seed South Amboy River Rats against the #5 seed Garden State Green.

This is South Amboy River Rat's 1st time back in the Flex Bowl since he won the very 1st Flex Bowl in 2011.
This is Garden State Green's 1st Flex Bowl appearance and got his 1st 2 playoff wins ever on the road to this title game.
Garden State Green and South Amboy River Rats have never met in the playoffs but Garden State Green has the regular season advantage through the years with a 6-2-1 record vs. South Amboy River Rats. The current win streak is 2 for Green. A streak that begun in 2017.
